Flash PARCS: Cash Machine Payments

Modified on Thu, 11 Apr 2024 at 11:42 PM

Flash PARCS enables customers to pay for their parking fees using cash at a kiosk equipped with a cash machine, allowing cash-paying customers to self-serve during their stay.

Note: Cash acceptance requires additional hardware. Please contact sales@flashparking.com to proceed with implementation.

How it works

  1. When you're at the Payment Screen, you can begin inserting cash. Look for the green lights on the Cash Machine – they signal that the unit is ready to receive your cash.

  2. Once you've inserted cash, a payment confirmation screen will appear. It will display your total amount due, the cash you've inserted, the remaining balance, and any change due. The system will proceed once enough cash has been inserted.

  3. Once payment is collected, the gate vends. Customers can choose to receive a receipt by pressing the "Print Receipt" button.

What happens if there is not enough change?

Flash PARCS will notify the customer before they proceed with payment if there isn't enough change available. Depending on the scenario, two different messages may be presented to the customer.

Partial change

If only a partial amount of the total change can be dispensed, the customer will see a message indicating only a partial amount is available. For instance, if $4.00 of change is due but only $2.00 is available, this message will be displayed:

No change

When no change is available, the customer will be shown a message indicating no change is available. For example, if $6.00 is owed to the customer but no change can be dispensed, this message will be displayed.

Note: Currently, receipts and reports do not show when the customer forfeits their change.
